Harrison Township Public Library: A Hub for Community Engagement and Learning

As the summer approaches, many families are preparing for a season of relaxation and fun. However, it's also an important time to ensure that children have access to nutritious meals and educational opportunities. The Harrison Township Public Library is committed to supporting this effort through its involvement in the Summer 2023 P-EBT program.

For those who may not be familiar with the program, P-EBT (Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer) provides financial assistance to families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals during the summer months. The Harrison Township Public Library has made it easy for families to access this benefit by providing a downloadable PDF application that can be scanned and emailed to Meal Application.

The deadline to submit an application is June, so don't wait! Families who did not receive free or reduced-price meals during the 2022-2023 school year but think they may now qualify should complete a new application. Conversely, families whose children qualified for these benefits last year do not need to reapply.

In addition to its role in the P-EBT program, the Harrison Township Public Library is proud to be a part of the Interdistrict Public School Choice Program, which allows students from surrounding districts to attend South Harrison Elementary School. This program offers a unique opportunity for children to receive a high-quality education and make new friends.

The library is also excited to announce that registration for preschool and kindergarten students for the 2023-2024 school year is now open. Families can register online by selecting the 2023-2024 school year when prompted.
